NSPCC
- They have a 'become a charity champion' competition
- You sign up online
- Clothes Aid then send you their toolkit - including leaflets, posters etc.
- You then collect good quality items from friends/family/colleagues & when you have at least 3 bags worth, they come and collect from you
- The clothes are then sent for reuse
- The 'charity champion' tag encourages people to gather clothing as it makes them feel good about themselves, like they are contributing to a good cause
OXFAM
- 'Shwopping' campaign in collaboration with Marks & Spencers
- This encourages shoppers to donate unwanted M&S clothes at Oxfam as they then recieve a £5 off a £35 spend on clothing/home/beauty voucher at M&S
- Or, shoppers can put any unwanted item of clothing into the 'schwopp drop' in an M&S store will can earn them points to win prizes each time they schwopp just by registering with Facebook
GOODWILL
- 'Sell it forward' campaign in collaboration with eBay
- People can sell their unwanted clothes through eBay without having to go through the normal steps to list an item
- They sign ip online & wait for a prepaid mailing bag
- Sellers then send unwanted clothes to eBay, who sends them to Goodwill
-Goodwill assess clothes, sell items and then the original owner gets 50% of the sale
- Motto - 'clean up, cash in, do good'
- Encourages people to donate as the hassle is taking out of selling items, they do good for charity, plus they get some money back
